NO Twilight. True Blood or other romance based types (yes I am talking to you JR Ward) need apply - good old fashioned rip out your throat horror only. I read two excellent series when I was working at the bookstore. The Strain (about to be a by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan and Book Trailer (NSFW) The Passage by Justin Cronin (two of three books written and a potential movie deal in the future) Book Trailer Both were amazing. On another note - book trailer videos? LOL More decent vampire books? |

I once bought a box full of Anne Rice novels, and loved most of them. After that, I can't remember reading many vamp stories I enjoyed. I did read Fevre Dream, because George R.R. Martin wrote it, but it didn't leave much of an impression. |

Dracula( yes, Bram Stoker, from the 1800s) was phenomenal. Also, the only Anne Rice I liked at the time was Memnoch the Devil...dont care for this kind of thing so much |
