Not a huge horror fan at all so this is hard and may remain undecided cos I haven't watched many.

The Shining. No contest. Little girls are evil and this film proves it .

I'm not a horror fan either, although I did really enjoy Sleepy Hollow.

It is, honestly. Well, you could say that about the whole Evil Dead trilogy. :)

I don't like horror films, hence this one being my favorite. :P

Evil Dead was better as a horror movie than Army of Darkness, but even Evil Dead had some humor to it.

My favorite? Hmm... might be Interview with a Vampire, if you consider that horror, or Bram Stoker's Dracula. Love the vamp flicks.

Man, why is the favourite horror movie thread locked? (The Thing btw, oringinal,Farg that CGI shiat remake/prequel)

I liked the pilot of Penny Dreadful, hoping I can manage to work around the geoblocking crap you have to put up with in Aus to keep up with the series.

Nightmare on Elm Street, without a doubt. And not the cheesy commercialized cliche sequals, either. The original and only the original. Wes Craven > Robert Shay any old day of the week.

A New Nightmare was alright too, I really like the concept AND the deviation from the commercialization of Freddy Krueger, but it still didn't hold the same punch as Nancy falling asleep in class and then seeing Tina standing in the hall in her body bag.

Wow!!!! Crazy.... You know what I just did....?

I read through this whole thread, and thought about what my favorite horror movie was, and ya know what I came up with? You got it, good 'ole 'A Nightmare of Elm St". And then I got to the bottom of the page, and saw that I was the last post, and I said the same thing except that post was from 1986 or something... I totally forgot that I posted that.

It was kinda surreal reading the exact thing that I was just about to write. For a second there, I thought I was seeing the future and I was like "Yes, finally! My Superpowers have arrived....."

The ONLY movie, BTW that ever scared the living spit right outta me (to the point where I COULD NOT got to sleep) was The Blob.
