Here's a new guitar I added to the arsenal over the weekend. Bluesman Vintage is a boutique builder in TN. They specialize in building faithful reproductions of vintage instruments. This particular guitar is based of the Gibson Les Paul Jr from the 50's. I've been horsing around with this guitar Saturday night and most of the day Sunday. It plays a bit differently than my Fenders, as the scale is shorter and the neck just a bit wider. Still, nice action, and the hand-wound pickup really barks. |

Still got this baby. It battles the Gibson for #1 slot. Since we've been doing a lot of Rolling Stones songs lately I keep a guitar in open G tuning, so every gig I get to play both. |

Fun fact: This guitar was originally built for Derek St. Holmes, who played in Ted Nugent's band in the early 70s. He came to pick it up and the color was not quite what he wanted, so he left it and grabbed another guitar off the wall. To this date it remains the only single cut, single pickup Nomad that Bluesman Vintage has built. |
