I tried to upload my story to Critique Club - tried pdf and doc and both files were unacceptable. What sort of files can be uploaded? |

That kind of thing can be set in the Admin Panel. I think the default is just image files... but .doc and .pdf (as well as other slike .xls) can be set as acceptable. I haven't actually done it though, but I've seen the setting. |

Is the 256kb size a hard and fast rule, or something that can be adjusted? Because... that seems rather small to me. |

2 or 5 MB, I think.... what size are the largest e-books? I'm asking like the 1000-plus-page books like in the Sword of Truth series... |

Looking at Amazon, a 1000-page book is around 1.6 MB... so 2MB should cover most books. |

A Dance With Dragons comes in at 4 MB (5 MB in mobi) but I can't see us reading a book that size for book club. I would assume that any uploads would be temporary in Critique or book club so MBb should be more than enough. Maybe make it one upload per post to balance out. |
