Seeing this is the best RPing community I've ever had the privelage of being a part of what better place is there to put this out there in case anyone is interested.
The SW:CTF group has now been playing for around a year. WoC ForumRP style game with minimal rules/dice rolling and a strong emphasis on Plot RP, character development and inter-character relationships.
Game is set near the beginning of the Dark Times post Ep3 aboard a light freighter running with a crew of varying backgrounds, varying secrets, pasts, hopes and objectives. The characters have been thrown together by the end of the war with the separatists and the rise of the newly created Empire.
We have a fantastic group, im GMing, Kang and Zeppy and our non-WoC players. We lost a player several months ago and I think there could be room for one more currently if anyone was interested.
I work with my players to help them fit their preferred character idea to the setting, I have a couple potential basic roles which they could build a character around. I work with my players on building a strong background to the character, motives, direction, secrets the other characters dont know about (that keeps it quite interesting). I also give the character a contact list of people and places they are familiar with from their past lives (family, info brokers, smugglers, military personel ports they've been to etc). While there is a main plotline, I try to leave the decisions in player hands as much as possible and so this is one tool to do so.
Dont need to be a star wars nut, theres plenty of info on the forum so you know how things work in star wars (navicomputers, sublight engines, repulsorlifts etc).

It's a lot of fun, and not unlike what we've done over on WoC. Just a different setting and slight rules added in.
