Almares and myself have played LOTRO for a few years now. You can find us on Nimrodel server.
For those who remember them, Rhaevynn and Falcanis also played with us there for a while before they were stolen away by RL and other games (respectively).

Sadly, Turbine sunk their teeth into me long before LotRO... As I am a longtime Asheron's Call player. Actually, I did try to fire up LotRO once, and played it for a week I believe (they were then offering the free week amid the recurring plans) but my computer just couldn't do it; the framerates were like 12 fps or something horrid even with all the settings tweaked down. Try as I might, I just couldn't get into it, as such. Although one would think, that would be the "defacto" online RPG of choice for all of us old school PnP'ers and fantasy lovers, given our collective history... Now if they could make it mobile... Then we'd be talking. I think my phone has more juice than my computer, to be honest. |
