I was into it the first season... tape recorded the pilot on my dad's VCR. (While pausing for commercials. Yes, I was a gigantic nerd in 1993, too.) But never got into the later seasons. When the shadows (?) came was about the time I lost interest. Oh, and Walter Koenig's character... didn't really like the whole ESP thing either. :/

Fav of mine also.

Series 5 was a bit meh, but that was because the arc was hastily wrapped up at the end of series 4 when it looked like cancellation time.

Movies were good as stand-alone work as well.

I agree, season 5 was a slight let-down but I loved 1-4 so much, absorbed in the story and characters that I forgave him because as you say it wasn't his fault - stupid TV companies.

The last episode of season 5 we had a group of watchers and we all avoided the episode til we could gather and watch together - only 24 hours or so thank god - and we wept together.

Memorable moments - an episode that started with Sheridan getting out of bed and putting his shoes on. He dropped a shoe that fell in slow motion and the whole theme of the episode was waiting for the other shoe to drop. Somewhere in season 4 of course.

Garibaldi and Lennier rocketing around the station on that motorbike.

The 'sex scene' between Ivanova and the alien diplomat.

Vir 'waving' at Mr Morden's head on a spike.

Zathras - all of them

So many more :) I am smiling and laughing with my daughter as we talk about it right now. I had "you have always been here" as my sign on sound on the PC lol. Maybe that is when I truly became a geek!

Favourite character if I have to pick - G'Kar

And yes. The way the G'Kar character evolved. Amazing story telling

I am rewatching this, up to season 4. Oh my word, the memories, the laughter, the tears, the anticipation. On reflection I am finding the Delenn/Sheridan romance annoying. If she breathily mouths 'John' one more time I might cry. I know she underwent the metamorphosis thing but did she have to become so completely human? I would like to see a normal Minbari romance to compare :P

That said, the rest is as amazing as I remember.
