Only thing worse is being sick on a familial get-together holiday. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.

As much as he can when he's still recovering from his own ordeal.

Seems we are becoming quite proficient in 'medical misery' these days.

Then I win. My birthday was on Thanksgiving and I got the flu and wound up in the ER the day before.

Yeah you win. That sucks.

Alm comes in second. He ended up in hospital on the Wednesday between Easter (4 day weekend) and ANZAC Day (our version of Memorial Day ... a 3 day weekend) ... and his birthday is the day after ANZAC Day. And then he was in hospital for a total of 7 weeks.

Oh and just to add to the joy of being sick on my birthday, I get to go to the dentist tomorrow too! Yay. (or something)

I think he wins. Though I don't know if that can be considered winning.

You're probably right there ... either way ... being in hospital on your birthday is pretty sh*thouse.
