I may be drummed out of the forum for this but her series In Death is a perfect mix of sci-fi and detective romance for the less scientifically inclined amongst us. I believe we are up to book 38 along with short stories and she publishes 2 a year. her development of characters is second to none and for a light read I recommend them enthusiastically.

She has some Urban Wars occurring around now, so that should be interesting The books are based late 2050s onwards.
